Our story began on Hinge in early 2021, connecting us across the Sound—Adam on Long Island and Diana in Connecticut. Over months of continuous messaging, our connection was built message by message into something deeply rooted long before we ever met face-to-face. When we finally met halfway in Tarrytown, New York, on June 6, 2021, what was intended to be a simple afternoon date turned into hours of effortless conversation over steaming bowls of pho and a walk along the Hudson River. It was a day where we both recognized a genuine bond that made the wait entirely worth it.
As our relationship grew and New York City became home, so did our shared curiosity for discovering the world together. From Diana setting sail on her very first cruise with Adam aboard Virgin Voyages to soaking in the energy of the Paris Olympics and marveling at the jaw-dropping views of Geirangerfjord, every journey brought something unforgettable. Even navigating the winding road up Iceland's Bolafjall mountain—only to reach the summit and find a breathtaking wall of solid fog—reminded us that the joy was never just in the destination, but in experiencing it together. Whether braving foggy peaks or everyday life back home, we found that our greatest adventure was learning how to move through life as a team.
The Years that Shaped Us
Every lasting relationship is shaped by a chapter that asks something of you. Ours unfolded in the fall of 2023, when Adam began pursuing his MBA at Yale while Diana continued building her career in New York City. Through two years of demanding schedules and countless Metro-North trips back and forth, we learned how to show up for each other no matter the distance.
Those years challenged us to become more intentional with our time and communication as we pursued our individual goals—Adam tackled the intensity of business school while Diana set off to train for her first marathon. We learned to celebrate each other's ambitions without losing sight of our shared future, finding ways to stay connected even when life pulled us in different directions. From hours of casing and b-school socials to early morning long runs and career milestones, none of the constant change created distance between us—it only strengthened us.

And the rest is history
Five years later, our journey led us to the shores of Bermuda. On May 4, 2026, Adam asked Diana to marry him. While most people picture a proposal right at the water’s edge, Adam picked a quiet spot tucked between two rock formations that felt entirely our own. Of course, 'our own' included Adam’s family, who were hiding in the shadows just steps behind us, documenting every single face Diana made.
From a first date halfway between two homes, to building a life across careers, distance, and new adventures, we're returning to the region where it all began to tie the knot!
